I called in and cancelled the Saturday, December 10, 2011 8.00 am class because I didn’t have sufficient sleep and had quite a headache when I woke up. Why did I have insufficient sleep you might be asking? Well, I had been going to the gym quite regularly, going to bed at 10.00 pm and waking up at 4.00 am to workout. I had gotten in to this habit until about a month and half ago I hurt my right elbow and forearm. I’m not sure exactly what happened because I didn’t drop anything on my arm or accidentally struck it against anything in the gym. I can only think of overworking the muscle or, poor form. I think it may have been the former as my other arm is fine. So I took a break from the gym until my arm healed and returned to the gym last Friday. I went to bed early on Thursday night only to wake up at around 2.00 am. I had fallen out of my regular routine of going to bed at 10.00 pm and had been going to bed very late. So instead of going back to sleep or trying to, I went to the gym at 3.00 am and returned completely refreshed and of course couldn’t go back to sleep until about noon on Friday. Clearly sleeping in the afternoon is not the right thing to do as this prevents one from going to sleep at night, but I was now feeling very sleepy so I decided to sleep. I woke up a few hours later and then decided to go out in the evening. Of course I returned late and had trouble waking up the next Saturday morning, hence the cancellation. I called Tim at 7.00 am on Saturday morning but he didn’t pickup so I left a voice mail. Then I called my flight school and spoke to Mike and told him that I wouldn’t be able to attend today’s class with Tim, and informed him that I had already contacted Tim. I then text messaged Tim just to make sure that he received my message. A couple of hours later I received a message from Tim stating that it was not a problem and it gave him time to stay at home, have his breakfast before the next class at 10.30 am. Then I received another text message at 9.15 pm from Tim on Saturday night stating the following:
“No worries about today. I had not left the house yet. So it was nice to enjoy breakfast. See you tomorrow”.
“Ah that’s great Tim. Yes, see you tomorrow. Thanks again.”
